How to wear a midi skirt - Outfit ideas

If you don´t know how to wear a midi skirt, here you have an outfit idea to help you out with this fab trend. A total nude outfit is always a great idea! If you are not very tall, choose a high waisted midi skirt and high heels. Nude color is also very elegant and trendy this season. Add a nude leather bag and comfy shoes like these ones by Acosta, in suede (the same material of the midi skirt). Check out the full outfit below!

Si no sabéis muy bien cómo llevar una falda midi, aquí tenéis una idea de outfit para llevar una falda midi sin sentiros disfrazadas. ¡Un look entero en color nude es siempre una buena idea!. Para las que no somos muy altas, elegir una falda midi de talle alto como la mía y tacones es una buena opción. El color nude es además tendencia esta temporada, y aporta un aspecto muy elegante. Cherry Blossom

Spring is one definitely my fav season of the year. The temperature starts rising up and the trees and flowers achieve their most beautiful moment. A few days ago we went for a walk and I wore this gorgeous flower printed dress by Irisie, an online store with lots of fabulous clothing. I matched it with a burgundy clutch similar to the flowers' dress and my stilletto heels.

La primavera es, definitivamente, mi época preferida del año. Las temperaturas empiezan a subir y los árboles y las flores alcanzan el momento más bonito del año. Hace unos días estrené mi vestido de estampado floral de Irisie; si aún no conocéis esta tienda online, entrad y veréis que tienen un montón de cosas bonitas!. Lo combiné con un bolso burdeos a juego con las flores y mis zapatos stilletto.

Trip to Tokyo in Spring

Last Spring we went to Japan (yes, it has taken me ages to post the pictures here...!) and it has been of the most amazing trips I've ever made. We went to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Hiroshima and Hakone. Here you have the first stop we did: Tokyo and its beautiful gardens full of sakura trees (we went in full bloom), the amazing city lights and the temples emerging among the nature. If you are planning a trip to Japan, don't hesitate to ask me for tips or recommendations. I wanna go back soon again!

La pasada primavera fuimos a Japón (si, he tardado un montón en subir las fotos al blog...) y ha sido uno de los viajes más espectaculares que he hecho por el momento. Estuvimos en Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Hiroshima y Hakone. Aquí tenéis la primera parte del viaje: Tokio, con sus magníficos jardines con árboles repletos de flores sakura (fuimos en la semana de máxima floración), las impresionantes luces por la noche y los templos emergiendo en medio de la naturaleza. Si estáis planeando un viaje a Japón, no dudéis en escribirme y os doy recomendaciones. ¡Yo quiero volver ya!

Black Velvet Dress and Vintage Clutch

Happy New Year 2017! Hope you enjoyed the night and best wishes for the year ahead. I wore this outfit for a lunch with my grandparents: a lovely Venca black velvet dress with gold details (plus a metallic belt), my fav vintage clutch and a pair of suede stiletto shoes. A simple but great dress for this season in a trendy velvet fabric!.

Hoy os quería enseñar un look que llevé para comer con mis abuelos estas Navidades: vestido de terciopelo negro de Venca (al cual añadí un cinto metálico), mi bolso vintage preferido y zapatos de ante tipo stilletto. ¡Un vestido sencillo pero perfecto para estos días y con la tendencia del terciopelo que tanto me gusta!.

Venca SS17

A few days ago I attended the Venca SS17 collection launch event in Madrid. Next season is full of affordable clothing with a feminine aesthetic and soft fabrics, under the claim "Let's Shine". The key colours are nude, baby pink, yellow, orange, navy and neutrals. I wore my dark green suede skirt and a silver top (you have already seen this outfit on my Instagram account). Hace unos días fui a la presentación de la colección de Venca para la primavera/verano de 2017 en Madrid. La próxima temporada está llena de ropa muy asequible con cortes femeninos y tejidos muy suaves, bajo el lema "Let's Shine". Los colores principales son el nude, el rosa palo, el amarillo, el naranja, el azul marino y los tonos neutros. En cuanto a mi look, levé mi falda de ante verde militar conjuntada con un top plateado (un outfit que ya habéis visto por mi Instagram). ¡Seguid leyendo para ver mis piezas favoritas de la colección!

Embroidery denim skirt and maxi coat

I have been looking for a denim skirt with buttons for a long time ago, and finally I got this one with embroidery. Denim and embroidery are two of the key trends for this season. I wore it with a basic grey t-shirt, an XL earring and booties. The black trench with tassels is also from Irisie online store (if you don't know about it, enter to see all the beautiful stuff they have!).

Hacía mucho tiempo que estaba buscando una falda vaquera con botones y finalmente me decanté por esta falda con bordado lateral. El denim y los bordados son dos de las tendencias para esta temporada. La combiné con una camiseta básica en gris, pendiente XL y botines. El trench negro con flecos en la espalda es también de la tienda online Irisie (si no la conocéis, ¡echadla un vistazo!. Tienen un montón de cosas bonitas).

New In + Breakfast in CasaBase Madrid

Last week we had breakfast in CasaBase, a restaurant in Madrid with a beautiful gourmet shop and 100% handmade Italian products. We loved their selection and the gourmet sandwiches they prepare -you have to try them when you visit Madrid!. I wore my new burgundy loafers from Primark and an embroidered sweater from Stradivarius. You will see the whole outfit by the end of this post!

La semana pasada fuimos a desayunar a CasaBase, un restaurante en Madrid con tienda gourmet incluida y productos 100% italianos y artesanales. Nos encantó su selección de aceites, sales, embutidos y patés, y los bocadillos gourmet (en especial, el Pan-Ky con aceite al limón -¡buenísimo! tenéis que ir a probarlo- y la tosta de pesto). Estrené mis nuevos mocasines burdeos de Primark y un jersey bordado de Stradivarius, dos de mis últimas compras. ¡Al final del post tenéis el look completo! :)

Comfy outfit with sneakers and a maxi jacket

It's been a while since I posted here, and I didn´t show you these pics from my trip to Pamplona (Spain). This is one of the most amazing places I have seen in Spain so far: Las Bardenas Reales dessert. We walked a lot so I needed a comfy outfit. I wore my grey sneakers with grey jeggins and sweater, and my beige maxi cardigan from Bench. I hope you like the pics and my outfit!

Hacía bastante que no actualizaba el blog, y no os había enseñado estas fotos de mi viaje a Pamplona. El desierto de las Bardenas Reales es uno de los lugares más impresionantes que he visitado en España. Anduvimos mucho, así que necesitaba un outfit cómodo: mis playeras grises combinadas con leggins y jersey del mismo color y un maxi cardigan beige de Bench. ¡Espero que os gusten las fotos y mi look!

Honeymoon in Bali -Ubud

It's been a long since I posted here, but you can follow all my trips and daily outfits via Instagram (@raquel_tg, next week we'll be in Japan!!). As promised, here you have the pics from out last hotel in Bali and the Ubud area. The final step in our honeymoon was this breath-taking villa with our very own private pool inside (and it was huge!) just in front of the forest. The views from the bathroom were amazing too, and the breakfast was beyond description. We enjoyed it a lot! I highly recommend the Puri Wulandari Resort if you are planing a trip to Bali. 

Hace mucho que no posteo en el blog, pero podéis seguir todos mis viajes y mis looks diarios en Instagram (@raquel_tg, en unos días estaremos en Japón!!). Como os prometí, aquí tenéis las fotos de nuestro último hotel en Bali y de la zona de Ubud. En la última etapa de nuestra luna de miel nos alojamos en una espectacular villa con una piscina privada enorme justo frente a la selva. Las vistas desde el cuarto de baño eran también preciosas, y el desayuno era simplemente perfecto. ¡Nos encantó todo! Os recomiendo 100% el Hotel Puri Wulandari si tenéis pensado viajar a Bali. 

Over the knee boots

It's been a lot since I posted a new outfit, so last week I asked a friend of mine to take a few pics for the blog. I was looking for a pair of over the knee boots since last year, and I found theses ones just perfect due to the square heel and the suede fabric! They look fab with dresses and tights in a different colour (such as dark grey). The Uterqüe bag finishes the look, matching the colour with the flowers in the dress.

Hacía mucho que no actualizaba el blog, así que aproveché el otro día a hacerme estas fotos con una amiga para mostraros un nuevo look. Tenía muchas ganas de tener unas botas altas por encima de la rodilla, y estas con tacón ancho en ante son perfectas! Quedan muy bien con vestidos y medias en un tono que contraste (por ejemplo, gris oscuro). El bolso de Uterqüe remata el look a juego con los tonos de las flores del vestido. 

Honeymoon in Bali - Nusa Lembongan Island

¡Feliz Año Nuevo! ¿Qué tal ha empezado vuestro 2016? Espero que con muchos proyectos por delante :) Os sigo mostrando mi viaje de luna de miel a Bali, esta vez, el segundo hotel en el que nos quedamos: el Mola Mola House. Teníamos muchas ganas de hacer snorkel, así que fuimos tres días a la isla de Nusa Lembongan y nos quedamos en una cabaña justo en frente de la playa. Fue la parte del viaje que más disfrutamos debido a las actividades que hicimos y, además, el agua tenía un color precioso. Y vosotros, ¿habéis hecho alguna vez snorkel o buceo? ¡Es espectacular!

My honeymoon in Bali

2015 it's been an exciting year. The year when I said yes to the most special person I've ever meet, so I wanted to dedicate the last post to our wonderful Honeymoon in Bali. There will be three posts as we went to three different hotels. I already published a post shooted there, wearing my green swimsuit. The first hotel we stayed in was the Ayana Resort&Spa, a luxury resort located on 90 hectares of cliff-top land above the sea, with 11 swimming pools. I felt in love with the vegetation and the flowers!! We also had a private fairytale dinner, just like the movies... so keep reading! :)

2015 ha sido un año lleno de emociones. El año en el que di el "Sí, quiero" a la persona más especial que he conocido, así que quería despedir el año con un post de nuestra luna de miel en Bali. Habrá tres partes dado que fuimos a tres hoteles diferentes. Ya publiqué un post fotografiado allí cuando os mostré mi bañador verde. El primer hotel en el que estuvimos fue el Ayana Resort & Spa, un espectacular hotel con 90 hectáreas sobre el mar y 11 piscinas. Me enamoré de la vegetación y las flores (lo tenían todo muy cuidado y con unos colores impresionantes)!! Además tuvimos una cena privada frente al mar, como en las pelis... When in Paris

Merry Christmas! I hope you are enjoying the festivity days. Today I show you one of my outfits during my recent trip to Paris, which was full of Christmas lights. The Dressin hat was my perfect ally in the cold weather.

¡Feliz Navidad! Espero que estéis disfrutando de las fiestas. Hoy os muestro uno de los looks que llevé durante mi viaje a París en el puente, que además estaba llena de luces de Navidad. El gorrito con pompón de Dressin fue mi aliado perfecto contra el frío.

Leopard jacket -  Embroidery top - Structured coat - Checked top 

Winter in Madrid is being really warm so it's time to wear fluid and structured coats, such as the one in sky blue or the leopard one (a must have!!). I do love the flower prints (not only for summer) too, like the top&skirt combo in black or the maxi dress in white -so romantic! The checked top is on its way to my house :) And I would also love to have a cable knit sweater in grey/blue! Which are going to be your upcoming purchases?

El invierno en Madrid está siendo muy caluroso, y para este tipo de clima a mí me encantan los abrigos fluidos y los de cortes estructurados, como el que veis en esta wishlist en azul cielo o el de estampado de leopardo (todo un must have!). Me encantan también los estampados de flores (no solo para verano), como el combo de falda y top sobre fondo negro, o el vestido largo y romántico en blanco. El top de cuadros está de camino a mi casa :) y también me encanta el jersey de punto en gris-azul! ¿Cuáles serán vuestras próximas compras?

70s jeans and suede vest

70s are a key trend this season, specially the flared trousers and suede vests. This one with handmade embroidery is just fab... that day I went out from Zara with more than one bag :) Have you already got a pair of flared pants or you remain faithfull to skinny jeans?

Los años 70 son la gran tendencia de esta temporada, especialmente los pantalones de campana y los chalecos de ante. Este con bordado a mano me enamoró.. ese día salí de Zara cargada con varias cosas! ¿Vosotras habéis caído ya también en los pantalones de campana o aún seguís fieles a los pitillo?

The leather pinafore dress

Hi guys! How is it all going? I'm keeping busy at work... I wore this outfit a month ago, but I didn't have time to post it earlier (that's why I wasn't wearing tights, something impossible at the moment!). I bought this green leather pinafore dress at the very time I saw it on the Zara website. I love how it looks with a white shirt and lace sandals or cuban heel shoes. This FW15, pinafore dresses are a huge trend; how do you style them?

Hola!! ¿Qué tal todo? Yo muy ocupada con mi nuevo trabajo... Este look es de hace casi un mes, pero no he tenido tiempo de subirlo antes (de ahí que vaya sin medias... ahora ya imposible! jeje). Me compré este peto de cuero verde nada más lo vi en la web de Zara. Me encanta como queda con una blusa blanca debajo y sandalias de tiras o zapatos de tacón cuadrado. Ya sabéis que los petos son una de las tendencias para este otoño/invierno 2015. ¿Cómo lo combináis vosotras?
