Pablo y Mayaya + Fashion Night

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Pablo&Mayaya are some of the regular designers of the Castilla&León Fashion Week. They are a couple of hatters from my city (Valladolid, Spain), who always create amazing catwalks. Its collection for Spring/Summer 2012 it's called "Object of Desire".

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Apart from its breat-taking hats and headdresses, another interesting element of their shows is that the garments are from luxury Spanish designers such as Angel Schlesser, Andrés Sarda or Maya Hansen.

THE HEADDRESSES/LOS TOCADOS

We could see a predominance of blue, purple and red in soft tones. Indeed, these headdresses were inspired by the colours of the East.

Every piece is itself a work of art, a miniature garden of desire, with imitations of branches and flowers, with little feathers, birds, silk and wooden.

THE GARMENTS (&shoes)/LA ROPA (y los zapatos)

Amazing designs by spanish brands such as Andrés Sardá, Ángel Schlesser, Maya Hansen, Marta Valdespino... and, in their feet, the impressive and well-known Jeffrey Campbell shoes. Here you have the most striking ones.

THE DESIGNERS/LOS DISEÑADORES

They create handcrafted works from the workshp that they have in my city, Valladolid. They sell their pieces in more than 200 stores, and they'll have an online shop very soon.

Our princess, Letizia, chose one of their hats for the wedding between Prince William and Kate Middelton, in a soft pink colour -it was really beautiful-.

Last Friday I went with my boyfriend to a party organized in order to present the champagne in which the designers have collaborated. Pablo and Mayaya have been responsible for designing all the packaging, from the label to the bag, and also the capsule and the name of the bottle.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

So, they have designed the bottles of two varieties of the Mur Wine: Doré Most white variety, and the pink Brut Nature. My boyfriend and I tried this last one, and I personally loved it.

Front label has a cocktail dress shape with heart neckline. As Mayaya has announced, their idea was "to create a game of seduction. Opening the box is like a woman going naked".

The presentation in my city took place in a restaurant. And here you can see the outfit I chose. I bought this dress during my last trip to Venice and I absolutely love it, it has an amazing fabric, very soft. It's in nude and black, a combination of colours that I found really elegant, and it has a shape that is between oversize and close-fitting that looks gorgeous.

Esther Noriega SS 2012

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The SS 2012 collection created by the Spanish designer Esther Noriega turns around and shows the women the sexiest as posible. This collection has really surprised me, because she has moved her typical client to another one much more powerful, confident, suggestive and overtly sensual.

Her proposals are inspired by the sensuality that the twilight evokes and the mistery of the night, combining fabrics such as silk and tulle in nice colours: from the deep black to the brigthness of the pink Pantone.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Her show was full of sheer, transparent pieces, lost of... also handmade flowers, fringes hanging back, and lingerie echoes plus daring combinations.

THE FABRICS

Tul bordado tipo plumeti, tafeta, punto / Plumeti tulle, tafeta, knitting.

THE DETAILS

Ribbons, feathers, fringes falling behind, bows at the waist, raised flowers and strips linke in a corset.

THE DESIGNER

What do you think about her designs? Have you ever heard of her?

Streetstyle Castilla y León Fashion Week

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

As you many know, I went to the Castilla&León Fashion Week as press. At the top of the post you can see my acreditation and Nuria's one, from the blog Amén Hermano.
I didn't took my Reflex 'cause I went there very quickly.. but afterward, I regreted not having it with me, honestly. So all these pictures are mady with my Sony digital camera.
There I took a picture of some girls with amazing accesories (vintage bags and original necklaces, as you can see here).

And also two boys, students of Fashion Design, with really original garments made by themselves.

There I also met two nice bloggers, Susana and Begoña :)

Have you ever been to a Fashion Week? Do you think that the people wear what they usually like or just overdo it?

Un besazo!

Inia - María Lafuente

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

IMPRESIONANTE, ¿verdad?
AMAZING, don't they??

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Y no me defraudó.

I really, really wanted to see this catwalk show. And it doesn't let me down. Indeed, it has been one of my favorite ones of Maria Lafuente.

This S/S 2012 collection has the name of the unique Amazonian pink dolphin, which has been an inspiration and has become the soul of the collection: "Inia".

The intelligence and beauty of this animal, as well as its unique color, has been the starting point of her proposal, and also the enormous 'plastic soup' that exists in the Pacific Ocean. With this, the designer wants to raise the ecologic awareness of every human being.

So, through all these designs, Maria seeks to promote environmental responsibility, and show us the immeasurable beauty of the oceanic world.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The garments reflect the preoccupations and concerns of the designer who, in each piece, are shown through architectural volumes to magnify the nature and attract our eyes, and our mind, to it.

The color palette introduce us into the ocean world through the green water and the oceanic blue, with also gum pink and magenta, and all completed with the purity of white colour.

THE FABRICS

Recycled materials, cotton and silk are mixed up with technological fabrics, to create a collection that seeks for the reuse of various elements. Some of the fabrics are striped (imitating the superfice od the sea), and another ones are shiny and really cute.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

THE DETAILS

Voluminous skirts, structured jackets, and pants and dresses with forms that remind us of fishes and anemones are the best of this collection. All in perfect harmony.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

THE ACCESORIES

María has designed a whole range of accessories also inspired by the marine world. The stockings are reminiscent of fishing nets, while the spectacular (and huge) rings mimic starsands and shells. Finally, the square-heeled and platform shoes are made of suede and patent leather, in shades of pink or in blue and green.

THE DESIGNER

I have already spoken about her in several posts, even showing her backstage (I was her fitting and backstage assistant at one of their shows in Cibeles). A media luz

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Another of the collections we saw at the Castilla&Leon Fashion Week was "At half-light", by Punto G.
Its designers were inspired by Creta Island, and so they chose colours such as mustard and white. The collection were focused on dresses, skirts and t-shirts with overlaps and combinations of fabrics, every of them in a warm and fresh style. At the top and at the end of this post, you can see my favourite ones.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

THE FABRICS

For this Spring/Summer 2012 collection, they have used very comfortable fabrics such as the organic cotton.
Yellow and peach colours reminds us of sunsets, but they have also included a pearl grey fabric and the previously mentioned white colour.

THE DETAILS

As details, they have broken and ripped part of the fabrics, and they've added leather lace in order to give an adventure and youthful touch to its garments, which are always really comfortable and fresh.
Stripes in mustard and white were its selected print.

THE DESIGNERS

It's butterflies' time (by Ladybug)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The Castilla&León Fashion Week was full of colours and nature during its last day (6th october), beginning by Ladybug.

With a S/S 2012 collection inspired by butterflies, the mannequins walked with dresses in elegant fabrics and with nice cuts.

Colours were vivid turquoise, purple, orange, yellow.. but also nude and white.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

THE FABRICS

For this collection, Cristina has chosen fabrics with original textures -such as the one with delicate flowers- or with prints -such as the one with butterflies that opened the show-. She has used silk, mikado, pleated satin, jacquard or crepe to create those cute dresses.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

THE DETAILS

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Femenine gathers and precise cuts are the ones that distinguish this designer, who every season show us elegant dresses with a lady touch. This time, the shapes of the designs were inspired by butterflies.
She has also created some beautiful clutches. Among them, the perspex ones designed in collaboration with the bloggers from Sneak Peak were my favourites.

THE HEADDRESSES

The headdresses have been made by Ivanna Mellado for its brand Nita Van Hat. They have been designed exclusively for this collection and being inspired them by butterflies and its colours (apart form the neutral black, white and silver tones).

THE DESIGNER

Cristina Ferreira.

The Spanish designer of Ladybug is Cristina Ferreira. She's such a nice person, so charming! I wish her all the luck in the world :)

MY OPINION

I personally love the style of this brand. Those mini dresses in nude were so so pretty! (specially the one that is wearing the black model). The texture with stripes in relief was amazing, and also its cut. The one in white was also amazing, and the purple one is perfect for a wedding. I also like the perspex clutches, the headdresses and the combination of orange or turquoise with coral.
