A charming store: LU INK

Me encanta descubrir tiendas con encanto, especiales, con un ambiente único y un estilo muy cuidado. Esas tiendas en las que, al cruzar el umbral de su puerta, te hacen sentir como si estuvieras adentrándote en un nuevo y mágico universo.

I do love finding charming and special stores, with an unique atmosphere and a careful style. Those stores in which, when you cross its door, you feel like you have entered a new an amazing universe.

Lu Ink es una de ellas, la cual no tengo -de momento- el placer de conocer en persona pues se encuentra en Barcelona; pero me la apunto para ir, seguro, cuando vaya a visitar la ciudad.

Lu Ink is one of those, which I haven't visit personally till now 'cause it is placed in Barcelona -but I'll go there when I visit the city, sure!



"Cosas para tu vida", así reza el cristal de entrada a la tienda. Yo añadiría a 'cosas' dos adjetivos: 'especiales' y 'bonitas' ;) Sus dueños son Blanca Cases, pintora y diseñadora de Barcelona, y Georgen Angles, un diseñador gráfico de origen australiano.

De esta interesante mezcla ha salido una tienda taller en la que venden y hacen todas las cosas que les gustan y de las que les gusta rodease.

"Things for your life", so says the showcase at the entrance. I'd add two adjectives: 'special' and 'cute' :) Its owners are Blanca Cases, painter and designer from Barcelona, and George Angles, a graphic designer from Australia.

From this interesting mix it has appear a workshop store in which they sell and create all those things that they like and those they like to surround by.

Un sitio donde te apetece estar, mirar, tocar, con luces y música infinitamente agradables. Todo cuidado hasta el más mínimo detalle.

A place where you wanna stay, watch, touch, with nice lights and music. Everything is care to the smallest detail.

Además de piezas creadas por ellos, en su encantador espacio también tienen cabida otros diseñadores y artistas que seleccionan personalmente. Tres ejemplos son la joyería de Tilly Bloom (Brooklyn), la terracota de Leonardo Parisi (Florencia) y las velas de Peg and Awl (Philadelphia).

Aside from the pieces they create, in its charming space there are also another designers and artists selected by the owners. Three examples are Tilly Bloom's jewelry (Brooklyn), Leonardo Parisi's terracotta (Firenze) and Peg and Owl's candles (Philadelphia).

Recogen así productos venidos de cualquier rincón del mundo, y siempre atentos a la idea de exclusividad. Pero no exclusividad fuera del alcance de tu bolsillo, pues tratan de traer ediciones limitadas a precios asequibles.

They collected this way products from every place in the world, and always considering the idea of exclusiveness. But not expensive, 'cause they try to bring limited editions at affordable prices.



Tienen cuadros, fotografías, bandejas, cojines, mapas, pisapapeles, terracota pintada, muñecos para niños... y, por supuesto, objetos de decoración.

They have paintings, pictures, trays, maps, paperwights, painted terracotta, dolls for children... and, of course objects for decoration.



Como véis, una mezcla muy ecléctica pero que no desentona para nada. Es perfecta.

As you can see, an eclectic mix, but not odd: it's just perfection.



Confiesan que les inspira la música, el cine, el street art y los grabados antiguos, el rock and roll, las pelis de Guy Ritchie, series y todo lo que sea antiguo, natural y reciclado. Interesante...

They confess that they get inspired by music, cinema, street art and antique drawings, rock&roll, Guy Ritchie films, series and everything that is old, natural and recycled. Interesting...



Utilizan sus sentidos, crean, reciclan, prueban, diseñan y, sobre todo, sienten.

They use their senses, create, recycle, try, design and, above all, feel.



Tienen pasión por lo que hacen y eso se nota. Y no hay nada mejor que dedicarte a tu trabajo con pasión, tanto para ti como para tus clientes!

They have passion for their job and you will notice it. And there is no better way to work than doing it with passion, both for you and for your clients!
