MBFW Madrid SS2015

Last Saturday and Monday I attended the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid where I went to some runway shows and a masterclass by my fav gin: G' Vine. I was accompanied by the make up artist Francesca Moreno, with who I usually work in Amazon BuyVip =) I felt in love with some Teresa Helbig dresses and lots of the designs made by the young designers at the EGO showroom.  El sábado y el lunes estuve por la Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid para ver algunos desfiles y asistir a una masterclass de mi ginebra favorita: G' Vine. A la masterclass fui con la maquilladora Francesca Moreno, con la que trabajo a menudo en Amazon BuyVip :) Me enamoré de varios vestidos de Teresa Helbig y de muchas creaciones de los jóvenes diseñadores del Espacio EGO! Red lace dress

I've always wanted a red lace dress and this is just perfect! The fabric is very nice and it has a cute sheer back. I love how red looks with nude, so I chose nude accesories for a party outfit in a lady style.

Siempre había querido un vestido de encaje rojo y este es simplemente perfecto! El tejido es muy bonito y tiene una espalda preciosa con transparencias. Me encanta como queda la combinación de rojo más nude, así que elegí accesorios en ese color para un look de fiesta en clave lady.

Origami skirt

 

Estoy enamorada de esta falda/pantalón de Zara estilo origami. Creo que es uno de sus mejores diseños esta temporada de primavera 2013!! Ya se la habréis visto a otras blogueras como la famosa Rumi Neely, quien la ha sacado ya al menos tres veces diferentes en su blog, e incluso a la mismísima Karolina Kurkova :) ¿Qué os parece cómo la he combinado yo?

I do love this skirt/short by Zara in origami style. I think it's one of their best designs for this Spring 2013 season! Probably, you would have seen it already in other bloggers such as the well-known Rumi Neely, who has showed it at least three different times in her blog, and even being worn by Karolina Kurkova. What do you think about my combination? =)

VFNO

Este año, mi VFNO la pasé entera en la tienda de Jimmy Choo con mi excompi y amiga Carol :) Pusieron un photocall enorme, había mojitos y sushi. ¡Una combinación perfecta!

This year, I spent my whole VFNO at Jimmy Choo store in Madrid with my friend Carol. There were a big photocall plus mojitos and sushi. A gorgeous blend!

Allí pude conocer a la fantástica blogger de Mi Armario en Ruinas, bloguera oficial de la noche para Jimmy Choo. Llevaba un vestido con print en tonos azules precioso, zapatos Cosmic de Jimmy Choo y cinturón negro con una placa dorada. Yo opté por uno de mis diseños y las sandalias nude de BCBG by Max Azria.

There I met the amazing blogger from Mi Armario en Ruinas, the official Jimmy Choo blogger for that night. She wore a beautiful printed dress in blue colours, plus Cosmic shoes by Jimmy Choo and a black belt with gold metallic detail. I chose one of my own designs and my BCBG by Max Azria nude sandals.

También me encontré con dos diseñadoras, Cristina de Ladybug (con la que desfilé en la I Pasarela de Jóvenes Diseñadores en Valladolid y de la que tengo un clutch neón chulísimo) y Yiddish Chutzpah. Majísimas y muy guapas vestidas también con diseños de sus respectivas firmas.

 

 
I was also there with two fashion designers, Cristina from Ladybug and Yiddish Chutzpah. So charming and pretty in her own designs!!

¡De boda! -My outfit for a wedding

Este fin de semana estuve de boda. Se casaba una de las mejores amigas de mi novio y nos lo pasamos genial :) Opté por llevar un vestido diseñado por mí con complementos en nude y dorado.

El espectacular recogido (a mí al menos me encanta, con una trenza baja y parcialmente cardado) es obra de la Peluquería y Estética Hermanas Arroyo, en Valladolid. El mejor peinado que jamás me han hecho en una peluquería; os la recomiendo totalmente si sois de aquí (y no, no me han hecho descuento por decir esto en el blog jaja).

This weekend I went on a wedding. One of my bofriend's best friend and her boyfriend get married. We enjoyed it a lot :) I chose a dress designed by myself and accesories in nude and gold.

The wonderful hairstyle is thanks to a gorgeous hairdresser in my city -Valladolid. It consisted on a low braid and volume at the top.

Aquí tenéis a los ahora marido y mujer. Ella estaba guapísima con un vestido de Rosa Clará palabra de honor de guipour y garza de seda en color natural. Me gustó mucho esa especie de fajín que ceñía la cintura y el lazo en la espalda. El ramo de rosas color rojo vino era una pasada, mucho más bonito que si lo hubiera llevado en los tonos tradicionales.

Here you have the husband and wife. She was beautiful in a Rosa Clará strapless dress in guipour and silk. I specially love the marked waist and the bow in the back. The bouquet was made of red wine roses, absolutely amazing, better than in the traditional colours.

La comida tuvo lugar en el Parador de Cervera de Pisuerga, con unas vistas espectaculares.

The lunch took place in the Cervera de Pisuerga Hotel, with breath-taling views.

A continuación podéis apreciar mejor mi look. Los pendientes son preciosos; jamás había entrado en Mila González y la verdad es que tiene unos diseños espectaculares. Escogí los más sencillos porque el tejido del vestido ya era muy recargado (tul bordado con apliques de lentejuelas y abalorios).

Y en principio iba a llevar unos zapatos que compré en Zara pero, nada más ponérmelos, el tacón cayó al suelo. ¡Menos mal que llevaba sandalias de repuesto!


Here you can see my whole outfit. The earrings designed by Mila González are really cute. She has wonderful pieces. I chose the most simple ones because of the fabric of my dress (embroidered tulle with sequins and beads).


At the begging I was going to wear a pair os shoes from Zara, but one of the heels went suddenly off just when I was putting them on my foot... Luckily I took a pair of sandals just in case!

La habitación del parador era preciosa, muy muy grande y con un balcón frente a la montaña.

The room of the hotel was really big and with a balcony in frotn of the mountain.

Cut-outs SS 2012 trend

Cold shoulders / Hombros al aire!

Una de las tendencias clave para esta primavera/verano de 2012 es la de los cortes en los hombros, para enseñarlos sensualmente y crear un efecto muy interesante y fresco en el escote.

En primavera, mostrar esta parte del cuerpo estará más de moda que nunca, tanto en vestidos como en blusas o tops. Lo hemos visto en las colecciones de muchos diseñadores internacionles, y yo también me he encontrado ya alguna prenda con "agujeros" en los hombros en Zara.

One of the hottest trends for this Spring/Summer is the cold shoulders, showing them sensually and creating an original and fresh neckline.

This Spring, you'll see a lot of dresses and also blouses&tops showing that part of your body. We can see it on lots of the international designers' shows, and I've also found yet some garment with "holes" in the shoulders at Zara store.

Cropped & bra tops / Tops que cubren el pecho, no más

Y una tendencia que ya se venía viendo que iba a llegar a las pasarelas y al streetstyle era la de los cropped tops y bra tops: tops muy cortos, cubriendo básicamente el pecho, algunos incluso con forma de sujetador o corsé, pero mostrados exteriormente. Esta tendencia es herencia de la que se vió en temporadas anteriores, mostrando ligeramente el sujetador bajo blusas de gasa semi-transparentes.

Ahora, lo que se lleva son tops muy cortos combinados con faldas o shorts de talle muy muy alto, dejándose ver solamente la parte del busto que sigue inmediatamente a la zona del pecho.

Como véis en el collage, yo incorporé esta tendencia a mi colección de primavera/verano, combinando un cropped top con un pantalón de talle alto en un total look color azul intenso (azul riviera).

A trend that was easy to predict that was gonna be trendy for this Spring/Summer was the cropped&bra tops: a very short kind of top, covering only the chest, sometime even in a bra or corset style, but wearing them outside. This trend is heritage of that one that we saw in previous seasons about slightly showing the bra behing transparent sheer blouses.

Now, the trend is about wearing short tops with high-waisted skirts or shorts, showing only the part of the body located immediately behind the chest.

As you can see in the collage, I use this trend in my Spring/Summer show, combining a cropped top with a high-waisted pant in a very bright blue colour (the Riviera blue).

Hotpants & high-waisted shorts / Shorts muy, muy cortos

Y por si fuera poco acortar las prendas superiores, también se acortan los shorts, hasta reducirlos a su mínima expresión, casi como si de un culotte se tratara.

Se conocen por el nombre de "hotpants": shorts muy cortos, cuyo bajo sube de forma inclinada haciéndose más corto en los extremos (las caderas), como podéis ver en estas imágenes. Y además de ser muy cortos, la clave para estilizar más está en su talle altísimo, por encima del ombligo.

A menudo se combinan con los cropped tops que hemos visto antes. Yo, en mi desfile, los combiné con un top en crêpe nude con corte tiplo peplo, el cual ya habéis visto más de una vez por aquí.

But shorten the upper garments is not enough. Shorts will be trendy very, very short, almost as if they were a culotte.

They are called hotpants, with a line becoming shorter at the ends (the hips), as you can see in these pictures. And beside being very short, the key is the high-waisted style, above the navel.

They are often combined with cropped tops, but for my show, I chose to combine them with a peplum top that you have already seen in this blog.

Bandage LBD + Max Azria heels&clutch

Un sencillo Little Black Dress que potencie la silueta de tu cuerpo complementado con un buen par de zapatos y un clutch elegante (más las joyas justas) siempre suelen dar lugar a un outfit impecable.

A simple Little Black Dress complemented by a good pair of shoes and an elegant clutch (plus some jewellery) would probably turn into a perfect oufit.

Como ya sabréis, Max Azria es quien diseña los fabulosos vestidos "bandage" de una de sus firmas, Herve Leger. Como no puedo permitirme un vestido de 1000€ o más, me conformo con este de Zara, que es muy del estilo.

Lo que sí me puedo permitir es su segunda línea: BCBG. Y en cuanto vi esta maxi-cartera y esos zapatos en su tienda de Nueva York, supe que tenían que ser míos! :) En ante y piel color nude... Preciosos, ¿verdad? Además, estaban ya en rebajas!! Fueron parte de mi regalo de cumpleaños (de mis padres).

As you many know, Max Azria is the designer of Herve Leger and its gorgeous bandage dresses. I'm not gonna pay 1000€ for one of them, so I've got this one by Zara, which is very similar to them.

What I can afford it's its second line: BCBG. And when I saw those clutch and shoes in NY, I knew they had to be mine! :) In nude suede and leather... They're amazing, aren't they? Moreover, they were on sale! My parents bought them for me as part of my birthday presents.
